Brekken the Bodacious – Bard of Propagation

US$6.00

Renowned across Tharador for his epic ballads and sagas, Brekken has become a nigh household name among even the commonfolk from Draksborne to Baldur. Behind this renown sits a stroke of nefariousness, for in his ballads and songs are written codes that are unmistakable to a lay person, but act as instructions for any Darkwing Agents listening. Similarly, some Darkwing Agents have been trained as sleeper agents, only activated on hearing Brekken’s music performed. As such he acts in the interest of Draksborne’s expansion; not for his love of the country, but for his love of constant coin and fame his position brings.

Brekken the Bodacious – Bard of Propagation

Born a bastard to two travelling minstrels, Brekken was raised in their travelling troupe across Tharador. His mother a maiden of Draksborne with an angelic voice, and father an elf of Nan Thalias with a mastery of the lute. Brekken inherited both these traits, and quickly made a name for himself after leaving his parent’s troupe at a crossroad in Formen. For years he travelled Tharador, witnessing first hand many key events, including the Battle of Duskweave Isle and the scouring of Elen Estel. Brekken’s name became known to many, and any proprietor of an inn would kill to have him perform.

It was on one such occasion that Brekken was performing in Sundestra that he was taken aside, approached by agents of Darkwing and asked that he become an agent of his mother’s homeland, promising riches and further fame for his efforts. Brekken, smitten with the offer could not say no, and thus began having his music influenced by Darkwing agents to include codes to awake sleeper agents and provide instructions to other agents subtly, as well as spreading subliminal messaging to have foreign citizens become pro-Draksborne. In return Draksborne’s government say the propagation of Brekken as a folk hero across Tharador, using viral marketing to have him become beloved amongst all peoples.
