Sanctum of Irinax – Drow Spider Shrine
An old temple of Irinax that was one of the first constructed when the dark divine took root within Drow society. Once used as a place of blood sacrifice, it has now taken on a purpose even more macabre: a spawning ground for Dragonspiders, creatures whose eggs are fed a rancid concoction of bone, flesh and blood to transform them from regular arachnids into something more. Xarinath, a Daughter of Irinax, calls this particular sanctum her home, and within it, Xaniri is her charge.
Whilst there are many sanctums like this one scattered through Lo Fuin’s Underworld, this one is being used to pull the current strings within Hirika. Connected to a portal near Hirika, agents of Irinax use the shrine to travel in and out, ensuring they carefully step around Xaniri as the enter and exit the facility, lest they wind up as another meal.
