A great war ravaged the land of Uikku many years ago. With the war, many family lines found sudden and abrupt ends. Their ancestral spirits suddenly and abruptly lost all tethers of worship that kept them holy and good, and began to fall into madness, corrupting and turning into Oni. Now the bands of Oni have begun sowing discontent across the nation. Seven Samurai stand to stop them, but their order is still weak and recovering after the war: so they have had to summon help from far off lands.

The ancestral spirits of ended bloodlines have grown enraged at the death of their descendants, driven by some unholy and unseen force. Many have corrupted and turned to Oni, and will only be satisfied when the families that ended their own lines
